The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering solutions for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it is alarmed with regard to the high range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out website to your substantial variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office focused on service the area every day. The provider level developed for intervention experiences a superior influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for that office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to enable the servicing of all shoppers and improve use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
